Learn From the Best at Pickleball Academy

The popularity of pickleball keeps growing in Southwest Florida. But although we may all love the sport, most of us can use some help with our game. Now players who want to improve their play have an opportunity to learn from top instructors at the U.S. Open Pickleball Academy in Naples.

Two of the school’s instructors are Jim Ludwig and Simone Jardim. Pickleball instructor and USAPA District Ambassador Jim Ludwig
is an experienced instructor for all skill levels. He is well known in the pickleball community, and is co-founder with wife Carol of Pickleball for All, a charity dedicated to bringing pickleball to Florida schools. Simone Jardim is an IPTPA certified instructor and the 5.0 Open National Champion in Mixed Doubles and Women’s Singles, the Pro U.S. Open Women’s Singles Champion and Tournament of Champions Masters Champion in Women’s Doubles and Women’s Singles.

The U.S. Open Pickleball Academy caters to all ages and levels with local instruction, clinics and programs. All pickleball activities take place on the courts of the Minto U.S. Open Pickleball Championships. The school also offers Destination Camps, the first of which will be held October 7-10, 2016 in Naples and includes eight hours of clinics and four hours of tournament play with instruction. The camp features video analysis of stroke technique, yoga on the beach, nutritionist presentations and evening activities, including a dinner cruise on the Naples Princess. U.S. Open Pickleball Championships

Start making plans for the next U.S. Open Pickleball Championships, taking place April 23-30, 2017 at East Naples Community Park. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success with some of the world’s best players competing. This year open age events and events for all skill levels are planned. Skill events will be divided into 49 and under and 50 and over. Those who attend will enjoy parties, food, entertainment, a U.S. Open Village and Expo Tradeshow, Kids Day and more.
