That’s right, ladies. This is definitely for you! A sparkling new exercise program with lots of pizzazz is coming to Mackle Park just in time for season.
This new program, Jukebox by Joanie, goes something like this. Low impact and fun! No jumping, just simple but sassy dance moves choreographed by Joanie Fuller, the creator and instructor.
Joanie promises you a fun-filled 60 minutes of dance moves along with a little conditioning, balance and standing core work, and the best part id you will love the music! You won’t realize you are exercising; you will just be having a great time.
Class is open to all levels and ages, and will meet Tuesdays at 5 PM, Jan. 6-March 31. Charge is $10 per class and walk-ins are welcome. Bring a hand towel and wear good tennis shoes. You will learn, become more fit and be entertained at the same time.
Joanie grew up in Atlanta, danced with the Atlanta Civic Ballet and later danced professionally with Theater Under the Stars, which produced Broadway musicals in summers. She and her husband David moved to Naples in 1995 and then on to Goodland in 2007. In 2012, she met her goal of sharing her love of dance with others by becoming an ACE certified group fitness instructor and by perfecting her program in Goodland.
2015 is the beginning of Joanie’s third year of teaching in Goodland. Classes there are open to Goodlanders only, so now it is time to expand to Marco Island.
We all know that exercising makes us feel better, and we resolve every new year to get rid of those holiday calories and get moving. Well, don’t just talk about it or wish for it, let’s do it this year! Jukebox by Joanie is like no other exercise program. Trust and try it — and bring your neighbors and friends.
