The Knights of Columbus San Marco Council #6344 recently sponsored the St. Vincent de Paul Dinner in the San Marco Parish Center to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul organization. The 260 in attendance enjoyed a delicious barbeque dinner. Knights, Columbiettes, St. Vincent de Paul representatives and other parish members helped throughout the event to make it a success.
Knight Joe Granda acted as the Master of Ceremonies and awarded the Humanitarian of the Year award to Knight Tom Walton. Joe Granda expressed appreciation to the Meals on Wheels coordinators Gene Kosolo, Kathy Travers, Kathy Larson, and Maria Granda. Following dinner, he gave a presentation about the St. Vincent de Paul organization and its charity work.
Knight Bill Christ led the kitchen crew and Knight Michael Stanczak led the barbeque crew. Grand Knight Joe Swaja led other Knights to serve the drinks at the cash bar.
Our wonderful Columbiettes handled the main ticket table, cash bar ticket table, 50/50 raffle table, as well as set up, clean up, and numerous other essential tasks. Other Knights also helped the Columbiettes and other Parish members in these essential tasks to make this event happen.
