Kiwanis Club Texas Hold ‘Em

The Kiwanis Club of Marco Island held its Third Annual Texas Hold-em Tournament on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Marco Lutheran Church. Even though there were fewer players this year due to COVID, it was a very successful fundraiser, and a good time was had by all!  

Congratulations to all our prize winners and thank you to our sponsors and players. All proceeds go to help the children of Marco Island and surrounding area. 

Lucky winners were: 

~ Grand Prize: One week at a Hilton Luxury 2BR, 2–Bath Suite in Las Vegas, donated by Lucky Lang ($2,500 value). Winner – JB Jones.  

Kiwanis volunteers- Susan Walsh, Pat Hagedorn, Cindy Crane, and Georgia Hess.

~ 2nd Place: Sunset Cruise for 12 donated by Paradise Cycle Boat Cruises ($550 value). Winner – Erik Karlson. 

~ 3rd Place: $500 in Legal Work donated by William G. Morris Law Office ($500 value). Winner – Joyce Postlewaite. 

~ 4th Place: Eco Tour for 6 people donated by Wild Florida Ecotours ($450 value). Winner – Laura Jones (wife of JB Jones who won the grand prize). 

~ 5th Place: Full Day Boat Rental donated by Walker Marine ($300 value). Winner – Egbert Lorenz. 

~ 6th Place: Wonderful Wine Basket donated by Cunat Family Vineyards ($300 value). Winner – John Castaldo. 

~7th Place: Case of wine donated by John Coff of Kiwanis ($243 value). Winner – George Mess. 

~ 8th Place: Two bottles of wine and “Lucky” sign donated by Lucky Lang ($70 value). Winner – Joe Gratkowski.
