o matter what your interest in vehicles, whether it be the classics, hot rods, vintage, muscle or specialty vehicles, the Kiwanis Car Show had something for every car enthusiast.
One of the biggest in the area, the popular car show featured 170 of the finest vehicles on display anywhere.
Long-time organizer of the event, Kiwanian John DeRosa said, “This was probably the finest showing of cars since the show started. We were able to collect $3,000 for the Marco Island Academy and Kiwanis has about $20,000 to use for donations to various children’s programs.”
The show was a success by all standards. Not only was the weather good, the burgers and hot dogs were popular, and everyone enjoyed the music provided by Island Paradise’s Steve Reynolds. Entertainment included groups like the Irish Dancers who kicked up their heels. Spectators had fun checking out over a million dollars-worth of vehicles with their fancy wheels, chrome, paint jobs, engines, and magnificent interiors.
