By Coastal Breeze News Staff

The recent Sons and Daughters of Erin’s annual Shamrock Dinner and Dance at the San Marco Church social hall was a fun and festive way to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day.

Everyone was Irish that night, and the room was filled with folks dressed in every shade of green. Guests enjoyed a traditional, hearty corned beef and cabbage dinner by Kretches.

Young performers from the Celtic Spirit School of Irish Dance wowed

the crowd with their talents in a number of beautifully choreographed dance routines.

This lively bunch was not the kind to stay seated, and Moose & Mary Jo O’Regan provided the lively music they could sing and dance to. The dance floor overflowed for much of the night.

Kathleen Reynolds, event organizer, reminded everyone not to miss the Marco Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will take place on Sunday, March 5th at about 1 PM. The parade route is down Bald Eagle Drive.
