When Hurricane Irma slammed into Marco Island on September 10, 2017, the Judge S.S. Jolley Bridge wasn’t spared from its wrath. The bridge, which serves as a beautiful gateway to the island, sustained damages to its lights, which will finally be repaired this month.
According to FDOT representatives, on Monday, April 15, 2019, FEMA contractor, American Lighting and Signalization ALS, will commence repair work on the Jolley Bridge lights that were damaged during Hurricane Irma.
The repairs are anticipated to take a few days to fully complete.
Contractors are scheduled to work mostly during night hours, in an effort to minimize any disruption to local traffic.
