It is back by popular demand.
The Jewish Congregation of Marco Island (JCMI) will hold its annual Jewish Deli Fest Sunday, Jan. 25, 11:30 AM-4:00 PM, at 991 Winterberry Drive. Last year, more than 1,000 people delighted in the event, and it sold out.
Members of the JCMI congregation have been cooking since Jan. 7, as they prepare to feed the community of Marco Island and all of Collier County. This year’s Jewish Deli Fest will feature:
- Bernie’s Deli: Come and enjoy a New York-style deli sandwich of kosher-style corn beef, pastrami or salami with homemade coleslaw, potato salad and kosher pickle. Perhaps you would prefer a nice bowl of homemade chicken soup with matzo balls or beef barley soup? Best of all, Bernie’s Deli will feature two separate lines — one for eat-in and one for take-out.
- Bubbie’s Bakery: Select and enjoy mouth-watering pastries for dessert “made with love” by JCMI Sisterhood members. These include strudel, rugelach, mandel bread, loaf breads, macaroons, cookies, cheese cakes and much more.
The event is sponsored in part by Winn-Dixie, Publix, Fresh Market and Wal-Mart. Look for a $1 off sandwich coupon on the flyer at www.marcojcmi.com.
