Jeweler Designs Marvel Icons Into Wearable Art

Marco Island Center for the Arts invites the public to a free Art Talk! “What’s Your Passion: Jewelry and Art” on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 5:30–6:45 PM. The self-proclaimed geek, GIA Graduate Gemologist and co-owner of the 35-year-old family jewelry business, Ari Kathein and his sister Avital Kathein will reveal the “comic” journey and beyond to become officially licensed to sell their jewelry inspired by Marvel properties.

“I’m a geeky jeweler making geek jewelry,” says Ari Kathein.

“What’s Your Passion” was founded by Ari Kathein to share his love and devotion to Marvel Comics by creating pieces in materials like sterling silver and 14kt. gold with unique collectible boxes. Jewelry designs include “FANatic” favorites such as Avengers, Black Panther, Captain America, Infinity War, Iron Man and Thor.
