On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, Jacob Winge, 4th generation Neapolitan filed to run for Collier County Commissioner in District 1, which encompasses East Naples, Marco Island, the Isles of Capri, Goodland and surrounding communities. Winge is a graduate of Barron Collier High School and Florida SouthWestern (previously Edison) State College. For over a decade Jacob has been a tested and proven leader at a number of organizations and local boards in a wide spectrum of support for our community.
A steadfast community leader, Jacob is the President of the East Naples Civic Association and President for East Naples Kiwanis. He is a member of the board of directors for the Greater Naples Better Government Committee and the Latchkey League. Jacob has served on the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Advisory Board and the Growth Management Oversight Committee for Collier County Government leading on issues from the environment to planning for our future. An ardent conservative and watchdog for taxpayers, Winge also served as a founding board member for the Infrastructure Surtax advisory Board representing District 1. He is also a past President the Friends of the Collier County Museums and past Vice President of the Collier Republican Club.
Jacob is a graduate of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Collier Foundation programs; Growing Associates In Naples (G.A.I.N) and Leadership Collier. Jacob and his fiancé Alexandria, who is now studying at Florida Gulf Coast University for law enforcement, live in Quail Hollow in East Naples.
