The evening includes a performance of original songs, Q & A with the audience, as well as a Nashville style songwriter jam. During the shows, musicians will share personal stories about Florida heritage and inspiration for their songwriting and musical talents.
The Florida Songwriters Showcase continues on February 5, 2018, with: Gator Nate – The Psychobilly Gladezmen singer from Devil’s Garden! Ray Cerbone – Americana and more…lead singer with The Apocalypse Blues Revue. Rita Youngman – Seminole woman sings of Marshtackie horses and warriors.
This event is produced and directed by J.Robert Houghtaling, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and film score composer, who has developed friendships with many talented songwriters. “Songwriting isn’t just about making music…it’s a lifestyle!”
The Margood Harbor Park Theater, with its pavilions and playgrounds wrapped around a charming harbor, is a perfect backdrop for this live music and local flavor event. The theater is located at 325 Pear Tree Avenue, Goodland. The suggested donation at the door is $10. Doors open at 6 PM, with the performance from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.
