The “Sun Will Come Out” on Marco when the Island Theater Company (ITC) celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Broadway hit show, “Annie.”
ITC is calling all actors for this year’s ITC summer camp and show. If you have a “performer” in your family age 8-18, this is an opportunity to get them onto the stage. If acting isn’t their thing there are other opportunities to be a part of the show. This show will also cast five to six adult roles.
The Island Theater Company Summer Camp runs July 10-28. The camp will be held weekdays, 9 AM to 5 PM. Camp activities teach theater basics including stage direction, terminology, auditioning, and more, for both the beginner and experienced student actors. All activities are designed to develop imagination, concentration, character, professionalism, and technique to strengthen the student’s command of his/her body and voice. All participants will be given a part in the ITC production of “Annie, Jr.”
The ITC is seeking help with the Annie set. If you have a few hours this summer, they could use help with set construction, set painting and design, marketing, ticketing, and ushers. Internships available for high school students looking to fulfill volunteer hours.
The camp is $90 per week, with discounts for siblings. Classes, rehearsals and performances take place at the Marco Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier Blvd., Marco Island. For information call 239-394-0080 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
