Israel Fest Returns to Naples for Second Year

On Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 12-3 PM, come to Fleischmann Park in Naples for a community wide celebration of Israel. Enjoy a fun, exciting day as you learn more about Israel, a country with a rich cultural history, and America’s most valued ally in the Middle East.

Israel is many things; A start-up nation, a nation that leads in stem cell research, a democratic nation, a nation of inclusion, a high tech nation, a nation of resilience, a nation of innovation, and a nation that protects freedom of worship for all religious communities.

Visit Israeli themed booths covering travel, science, medicine, communications, and more. There will also be a wide variety of Judaica items for sale. The day will include dancing, singing and music.

No Israeli celebration could be complete without culinary treats! Feast on delicious Israeli cuisine, such as falafel with tahini sauce. There will be a special food court serviced by Sizzle Truck. Jewbans Deli Dali will serve a combination

 

 

Jewish style and Cuban sandwiches. Kona Ice is providing ices and ice cream.

Naples Mayor Bill Barnett plans to attend and say a few words in support of the community celebration of Israel.

At 12 PM there will be opening remarks by event coordinator Jeffrey Randall and Jeffrey Feld, the president/CEO of the Jewish Federation of Collier County, Inc. There will also be guest speakers. At 12:30 PM the live entertainment starts with guest singers.

Enter a free drawing for the chance to win one round trip ticket to Tel-Aviv, Israel, sponsored by El Al Israel Airlines. Stay and enjoy the day until the 2:30-3 PM drawing because you must be present to win. The drawing is restricted to those eighteen years old and up.

This event has been planned for all ages, with family-friendly entertainment. For kids, there is a playground and a bounce house, and there will be face painting and other activities.

Admission is free. Fleischmann Park is located at 1600 Fleischmann Boulevard, Naples.
