So many heroes emerged in the days that followed Hurricane Irma. It is impossible to name them all, but each and every one deserves a heartfelt “Thank you” from our community. Marco Island Fire Rescue and Police departments worked around the clock with Marco Island city staff. LCEC brought in 500 crews from Texas, Connecticut, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and local areas. Help poured in from FEMA, the National Guard, Forestry Service, local and state police departments, the Cajun Navy, and more.

If there is someone that you would like to thank, please post it on the Coastal Breeze News Facebook page.
