Huggie Bear’s is associated with the Children’s Home Society that supports low income families with children from infants to age five. Services provided by the center include full and half-day programs, afterschool care for elementary-aged children and a summer camp program. Children’s Home Society is a Community Partnership organization focused on building bridges with low income families for the development and success of children.
Huggie Bear’s has been closed for the past several months due to required renovations. Contacted by the center’s director for support in getting the center ready for reopening, Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise donated materials and labor for the beautification of the playground and exterior areas of the center. With this assistance, and support from other community service groups working on the interior of the center, planned reopening is scheduled for January 2018.
