So what do Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Sandra Bullock have in common with Marco Island? It’s Celebrity Designer Marc Bouwers, of course.
During an elegant night of glamour on Saturday, February 25th, guests attending the American Cancer Society’s Hope Ball 2012, will have an opportunity to meet Marc Bouwers and see his hottest fashion collection to date. In fact, you can see his latest design collection prior to the big fashion shows in New York where Marc will be headed soon after this event.
The Ball will be held at the ultra-luxurious Greystone Manor which sits upon three wellmanicured acres. As a guest, a valet will be on hand to greet you. You will enter this gorgeous home for a cocktail reception while a pianist entertains you. Guests will be given a birds-eye view of this stunning estate, reminiscent of an Italian Venetian Palazzo. Docents will be situated in various rooms to answer any questions about the home including the gourmet kitchen, the Grand Salon, or the magnificent dining area. Once outside, you can enjoy the view of Robert’s Bay or meander through the gardens. You may find a Maserati, Ferrari, Bentley or Rolls Royce on the grounds, for a perfect photo opportunity.
Although, viewing the estate and mingling with friends are just the beginning…..
A large screen TV will preview clips of many of the famous names listed above, and more, wearing Marc Bower creations. After passing the gazebo, you will be seated for an elegant dinner prepared by award-winning Cater Masters. A private fashion show follows the scrumptious meal. While you’re dining, hair and make-up artists will be fast at work. Once hair, make-up and clothes are complete, models will weave through the audience bringing Marc Bouwers latest designs to life. In total, 30 models will be present. 20 are professional and ten models are American Cancer Society scholarship recipients. (You can read their stories in anupcoming edition of Coastal Breeze News.) An evening of entertainment and dancing under the stars will follow the fashion show.
“An event of this magnitude would not be possible without the generosity of our hosts Tim Farris and Maria Coords, who are allowing us into their home. We want to recognize the contributions of the sponsors, CaterMasters, Luxury Cars of Naples, Kiwanis, Naples Illustrated and Vitas Innovative Healthcare,” said Melissa Felice, Executive Director of the Marco Island Unit American Cancer Society.
A limited number of tickets are available. To be a VIP at this formal black tie event, contact the Marco Island Unit of the American Cancer Society at 239/642-8800, ext. 3891.
