The Annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner sponsored by the Collier County Republican Executive Committee (CCREC) was held at the Naples Hilton on February 15th, 2020.
The theme was “Republican Women – Making America Great for 100 Years.”
The Lincoln-Reagan dinner was packed to hear former Deputy National Security Advisor to Trump, K.T. McFarland and to honor Commissioner Donna Fiala. Both the Keynote Speaker, K. T. McFarland and the Honoree, Commissioner Donna Fiala are role models for future generations of Republican Women. The event also celebrated 100 years of women’s right to vote.
According to State Committeewoman, Jane Face Glassman, “It was a privilege for me to have known both of these women and to be able to call them friends. Both have paved the way as mentors and role models for future generations of Republican women who will run for and be elected to public office. Both became involved in government when it was still a man’s world. They had to navigate uncharted territory and overcome obstacles to accomplish their goals.”
Honoree, Commissioner Donna Fiala has dedicated herself to serving the citizens of Collier County with a focus on improving East Naples. She takes a personal interest in every citizen and is always there to help when there is a problem.
Senator Kathleen Passidomo presented Commissioner Fiala with an appreciation award for her 20 years of service to the community.
The Unstoppable Donna Fiala is the only Collier County Commissioner to serve more than four terms in a district. In 2003, 2008, and 2015, she served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Collier County Commissioners and served as the Board’s liaison to the County Government Productivity Committee. In 2003, 2009, and 2016, she served as Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. Fiala is active in many community organizations and numerous Boards and she continues to be a strong advocate for improving her community.
Keynote Speaker, K.T. McFarland was President Trump’s first Deputy National Security Adviser and prominent conservative foreign policy expert. KT McFarland has been focused on the national security interests of the United States since her time as a young aide to Dr. Henry Kissinger. Speaking out for the first time since leaving the Administration, K.T. lays out the thinking behind Trumponomics, America First and Peace through Strength policies.
According to Dr. Henry Kissinger, Former Secretary of State, “KT McFarland has been at the center of Republican foreign policymaking for decades, starting in the 1970s when she first worked on the National Security Council, continuing through the Reagan Administration, Fox News, and then as President Trump’s first Deputy National Security Advisor.”
In K.T.’s soon to be released hardcover book, “Revolution: Trump, Washington and ‘We the People,’” she writes with candor and insights into Trump’s foreign policy with China, North Korea, Russia and the reasoning behind it. The hardcover release is expected for February 25, 2020.
