The Hideaway Beach Cancer Committee, #1 in Florida and #30 in the United States, raised over $110,000 during it’s recent “Course and Courts” and Car Show events. The results were a product of a Tennis Pro-Am, Goofy Golf/Ball Drop, Dinner Auction and Car Show and were delivered to the Marco Island office of the American Cancer Society.

The committee’s leader, Tom Sessa, reported that this is the fifth consecutive year the results have exceeded $100,000, and it is a result of the generosity of the Hideaway Beach Club members.

Several homeowner-sponsored dinner parties for eight people, plus two very special dinners for four at Verdi’s in Marco Island and Cibao Grill in Naples, were among the 12 auction items.

The third Concours D’ Elegance Car Show included 48 magnificent vehicles, including a “newer than new” 1947 Ford Tractor.

Sessa indicated that the members of the small Hideaway Beach Cancer Committee worked very hard to ensure that all the events were fun experiences for the participants.
