

“Let’s Kill Cancer” was the cry, as one organizer, Bill Dean led the charge to the 9-hole golf course where honorariums marked each hole, saluting cancer survivors or lost loved ones.
Hideaway Golf professional Heidi Papoosha, assistant Michael O’Brien, and visiting PGA Head golf Professional Kristy Gleason, from the Kingswood Golf Club in Wolfeboro, NH added some extra challenges, allowing the players to bet against them for extra bucks.

Although the numbers are not final, Bill Dean said he is overwhelmed that the numbers exceeded the $47,900 brought in by the dinner and auction last year for a figure of $62,700.
“We still have Strides Against Cancer, on February 27 at Tigertail,” he said. “We are aiming to do even better than our $93,000 total of last year.”
