Wow! It truly feels like forever since I have penned an article! The time has raced by at an alarming speed as we are plowing through March already. I wanted to let all you faithful readers know that my husband and I are PREGNANT! We are super excited and have been wanting to share the great news but have been slammed with clients during this busy time of year in addition to doing other numerous projects that involve planning for baby.
We found out at Christmas that we are having a BOY!! We are so completely psyched and can’t wait for y’all to meet him this summer. Yes, we are already six months along! Time is flying!
Here is a brief recap of the past two trimesters: first trimester was HARD. I thought I would sail through it with ease since I was in tip-top shape, ate impeccably, had a series of colonics, did my weights, Pilates, and cardio, and of course had youth on my side. Let me just say that Mother Nature doesn’t care—you are on her turf and have to play by her rules. She made sure that I couldn’t stand anything healthy in my sight; just the thought of a vegetable or protein made me want to hurl. All I could tolerate was carbs (like bread or potatoes with saltine crackers) and lots of gingerale. EEK!
Then she took away my energy, left her cousin “Exhaustion”on my front door and took away my BFF: workouts. I woke up and went to bed every day for the ENTIRE first trimester feeling as if I had the flu.
Then, voila! Second trimester ushers first trimester out the door, and with it all of the aforementioned issues. Second trimester sends blessings my way in the form of excess energy, a hearty appetite (hello veggie juice!), and workouts with cardio—yay me!
I am eating fruits, vegetables, protein, clean carbs, and more! I haven’t eaten anything but good, clean food so far and my body is loving it! I am reaping the benefits with glowing skin, shiny hair, and keeping my weight at a healthy range.
The baby is uber healthy and feels super strong as he kicks me on a regular basis; he especially loves to dance on my bladder!
I can’t wait to meet him and can’t wait for y’all to meet him too! I just wanted to give an update and let you know where I’ve been and what’s been going on. I’ll still be writing about health, fitness, and nutrition, so send me your questions—I’m always listening.
