The Goodland Arts Alliance, 501(c) 3, along with Collier County Parks and Recreation, is sponsoring this sixth annual outdoor festival at the charming waterfront MarGood Harbor Park to showcase world class painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers, ceramic and mixed media artists – plus a few new surprises.
Musical master-mind J.Robert has gathered an A-list of musicians appearing live from the MarGood sound stage including: Billy J & the Big Easy, the Lost Rodeo Band, Raiford Starke, Jim & Merrill Allen, Capt. Jac, John Burgess, the Dock Boys, Tom “Cello-man” Porter… and the list is still growing!
The event also features four unprecedented raffle packages with a total value of over $4,000. Packages represent BEACHING (donations from Marco Island Yoga, artist Judy Wittwer, Beach Bum Rentals, Sunset Grille, Dreamlander
Tours and more); GARDENING (donations from Naples Botanical Garden, Island Garden Center, artist Tara O’Neill, Market 360, and books and native plants from anonymous donors!); FISHING (donations from Sunshine Ace Hardware, Stan’s Idle Hour, artist Celeste Navara, Kirk’s Fish House, Beach Bum Kayak Rentals to name a few); and HISTORY (donations from Marco Island Historical Society, MIHS curator Austin Bell, artists Jim Freeman and Peter Sottong, Little Bar Restaurant, and a fascinating collection of books on area history).
The venue, MarGood Harbor Park, has great historic and environmental significance, the property was purchased by Collier County with Florida Forever funds in 2005. Today, native landscaping and lovely walkways wrap around a charming harbor-front. The park also features a museum/exhibition hall, two open-air pavilions, and a canoe/kayak launch.
