Collier County Commissioner Donna Fiala is celebrating her milestone 80th birthday.
In 2000, Donna Fiala, fondly known as “The People’s Commissioner,” was elected County Commissioner for District 1. She has held that position ever since, currently in her fifth term. Her regularly held Town Hall Meetings enable citizens the opportunity to learn more about their local government. Commissioner Fiala is very active in the community, volunteering her time with organizations such as the Marco Island and East Naples Kiwanis clubs, the Marco Island Historical Society, the Woman’s Republican Club of Naples Federated, the Republican Executive Committee, and many more.
On Friday, April 13 there will be two events in Commissioner Fiala’s honor. Friends and colleagues will gather to wish Commissioner Fiala a happy birthday at the Rose History Auditorium from 1-3 PM with cake, coffee and punch. Rose History Auditorium is located at 180 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island. For more information, call 239-389-6447 or visit www.themihs.org.
The celebration will continue on Friday evening at 360 Market in Naples from 5:30-8:30 PM with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The cost is $25 per person for CCREC members and $35 per person ($60 per couple) for non-members. Sponsorships are available. 360 Market is located at 2891 Bayview Avenue, Naples.
