Slip back to the time when flapper skirts and suits were popular at the first annual GirlTalkTV Roaring Gatsby Affair on Thursday, November 7. The ball will benefit the American Cancer Society Collier County Chapter to aide men and women battling cancer.
“It is a fabulous way to look your best and help others recover and feel their best,” said Sherry Bryant, owner of GirlTalkTV.
The GirlTalkTV Roaring Gatsby Affair will feature entertainment, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction valued at more than $4,000. Donated getaway package, travel, fashion and beauty will be available in the raffle and silent auction. Proceeds from the bids and raffles will go to the American Cancer Society Collier County Chapter.
During the months of September and October many local businesses are aiding in American Cancer Society’s call to raise more funds than ever for research to eliminate the sometimes deadly disease. Proud to help local families, Bryant offered up GirlTalkTV as a lead organization to help in spreading the word about American Cancer Society’s cause.
“So many of us fear the ‘C’ word and my hope is that if our community continues to unite against this disease we can make it an ailment of the past. We have a ways to go, but for event ticket holders this should be a way to celebrate their life and the life of a loved one they have lost,” said Bryant.
Although costumes are not required, the Roaring Gatsby Affair is featuring a 1922 theme straight off the big screen and there will be an award for the best flapper girl and the best suited man.
The Roaring Gatsby Affair tickets cost $50 for two tickets or $35 for advanced single tickets. At the door, the price will be $40 per person. Purchase tickets online at GirlTalkTV1.eventbrite.com, credit cards accepted.
The Roaring Gatsby Affair is on Thursday, November 7 at the Hilton Naples located at 5111 Tamiami Tr. N. in Naples, Fla. and the ball is from 6:30 to 10 PM. For more information, contact GirlTalkTV owner Sherry Bryant by calling 239-784-4706.
