Everyone, from kids to adults, is encouraged to dress in their best Halloween costumes. Bring a basket or bag to collect candy and treats at each craft and game station.
Visitors will be able to purchase pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs from Marco Island Optimist Club, visit the Critterman with his reptilian assistants, try some hot and fresh kettle corn, create Halloween crafts with Island Montesorri and Parks and Recreation, enjoy Orange Leaf yogurt, and have their face/arm painted from Marco Island Academy Key Club.
Island Dance Academy will be performing some fun Halloween dance routines from 4:30–5:30 PM.
The highlight for the evening will be the annual Halloween costume contest held at 5:30 PM. Children will be divided into four age groups: 3 years and younger, 4 & 5 years, 6 & 7 years, and 8–10 years. Contest judging will be based on the Most Creative Costume, Funniest Costume, and Scariest Costume from all age groups. First and second place winners will receive a special Halloween gift.
Additional activities include: Music by the Entertainment Source, painting and soup bowl glazing by Leadership Marco- MI Chamber, balloon artist from Walt Timoney Entertainment, freeplay/legos, and Halloween crafts and games.

The Parks and Recreation department is seeking out Halloween Spooktacular volunteers for Saturday, October 29th from 3:30–6:30 PM. If you are in high school or college and are looking for volunteer hours to be signed off, this is the place to be to earn those well-deserved hours.
