The Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is announcing the opening of a 30-day public comment period for an amendment to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The MPO Board will be asked to approve the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP Amendment with consideration of all the comments received during the public comment period. A public hearing will be held on the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP in conjunction with the MPO’s regular meeting on Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners chambers, third floor, Collier County Government Center, 3299 Tamiami Trail East, Naples.
Pursuant to the MPO’s Public Involvement Plan, the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP Amendments are made available for a 30-day public comment period. The public comment period for this amendment to the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP began on Sept. 19 and will end on Oct. 19. The amendment to the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP is posted on the MPO’s Web site at www.colliermpo.net. To access the TIP amendment on this Web site, select “Public Documents”, and then scroll down to the “FY 2011-12 through FY 2015-16 TIP Amendment 10-21-11.”
The TIP amendment is to modify the project limits and length for adding and reconstructing lanes on SR 84 (Davis Blvd). This project (Financial Project Number 1954164) is programmed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to be constructed in FY 2011/12. With this TIP amendment, the project limits are being modified from “Santa Barbara Boulevard to Radio Road” to “east of Santa Barbara Boulevard to west of Radio Road”. The project length is being modified from 1.935 miles to 1.409 miles.
The FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP Amendment will also be on display at the customer service desks at the sites listed below:

The MPO’s planning process is conducted in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Related Statutes.
