FWC Celebrates the 75th 

 

 

Anniversary of the Fred C. Babcock/Cecil M. Webb Wildlife Management Area. (Not to be confused with Babcock Ranch) Saturday, January 21st, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Free Admission

There will be a variety of exciting hands-on activities for families to enjoy, all at no charge. There will be a kids’ fishing clinic, Kayak 101, K9 demonstrations, kids’ nature activities tent, exciting nature-based displays, shooting activities, food trucks and much more. Biologists will also offer hayride tours sharing how they manage natural resources and habitat for wildlife.

An early-bird field trip to see Red-cockaded Woodpeckers will also take place but spaces are limited.

Babcock-Webb WMA is south of Punta Gorda, just off Tucker Grade on I-75, exit 158.
