IBERIABANK, a 128-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation and the Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University will host the fourth seminar in a five-part series aimed at helping small business owners. This presentation will focus on funding your business and your retirement. Attendees will learn about capital sources and the steps involved in completing a business loan application. The seminar will then shift gears to talk about exit strategies for your business and how they may relate to your retirement planning. According to a study published by the U.S. Small Business Administration, only 36% of small business owners have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and even fewer have a 401(k)/Thrift plan.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, August 19 at the IBERIABANK branch located at 775 Airport Road North in Naples. The fifth and final seminar in this small business owner series will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. The lecture will provide guidance on comparing the success of a specific business to other companies in similar industries. The seminar will also provide tips on how to integrate methods from the “10 Minute CEO.”
