From the City of Marco Island

Marco Island remains under a Tropical Storm Warning as well as a Hurricane Watch. Marco Island is also under a storm surge and flood watch. The Island is forecasted to receive high winds, heavy rain, and storm surge in the next 8 to 24 hours. The conditions are favorable for thunderstorms, lightning, waterspouts, or tornadoes.

Marco Island will likely experience increase rainfall which could cause roads to flood. Do not drive on flooded roads or on any roads with more than six inches of water.

City of Marco Island facilities, including parks and City Hall, will be closed on Monday, however, the City intends to hold its City Council Meeting at 530pm unless weather conditions deteriorate and it becomes unsafe to do so. There will be no trash pick-up on Monday, please secure your trash cans.

City of Marco Island staff are monitoring the storm and are on duty at all times to provide assistance related to the storm. If you have an emergency, call 911.
