A 127-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation, is pleased to announce a partnership with the Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University to host a series of three complimentary seminars aimed at helping small business owners with a variety of topics including Quickbooks®, cash flow, budgeting, and professional resources. All presentations will be held at the IBERIABANK branch located at 775 Airport Road North in Naples from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Speakers include Theresa Ayers, Cathy Haworth, and Sharon Brunette from the FSBDC; CPAs, Laura Gelman and Terri DiSciullo, from Rogers, Wood, Hill, Starman and Gustason; William Morris, Esq. of the Law Office of William G. Morris, P.A.; Privacy Expert, Carrie Kerskie of the Kerskie Group Inc.; and Lori Buhs and Sean Friend of IBERIABANK.
The first presentation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. This presentation will include tips on selecting the right professionals such as CPAs, attorneys, and bankers; information about the variety of state and federal resources available for small businesses; and effective human resource and marketing strategies.
The second presentation scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, 2014 will focus on understanding the financials of a business. Resources will be shared to compare industry standards for cash flow and net profit as well as bookkeeping tools.
The final presentation on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, will discuss opportunities for collaborations as well as the importance of making decisions now that may impact future growth and succession planning.
