One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a little Kay’s on the Beach fashion. The Marco Island woman’s boutique held its 41st fashion show at the scenic Hideaway Beach Club on February 9, 2017 with over 250 women attending. Even after four decades, this island fashion favorite event continues to host its style show. The colors were vibrant to match the warm spring season collection and fresh prints could be seen on the runway. What makes this show unique is that every garment and jewelry item is from Kay’s very own store.

Mother and daughter duo, Kay and Jeannie executed their line of Southwest Florida fashion for the modern lady with elegance just in time for Valentine’s Day. There were three rounds of style changes that ranged from casual to more timeless evening looks. The room gazed in amusement while each model strut across the runway in spring

Author Cathy Burnham Martin attended the event while promoting her recently released book, “The Bimbo Has Brains.” This novel shines a humorous yet empathetic light on relationships, expectations, and communication – especially between genders. The gift of the day was for the lucky ladies that had a heart underneath their dessert plates. They each received a free copy of the book to take home.

The show concluded with music blasting and the models showing off a more fun side while dancing down the runway. As the twelve models made their last struts across the floor they exited through the crowd, giving the audience exactly what they wanted – a closer look at the various details each outfit had to offer!

Kay’s on the Beach is a woman’s clothing boutique with five locations in the local area. To have your own personalized shopping experience on the island, visit 1089 Bald Eagle Drive or call 239-394-1033.
