Florida Songwriters Benefit for Frank Thomas


J.Robert’s Florida Songwriter Showcase is gathering in concert at the Margood Harbor Theater May 19th from 6–9 PM for a one-time event to benefit Florida Hall of Fame songwriter Frank Thomas.

Legendary songwriter, Frank Thomas, lost his historic “Cracker Palace” home located in Lake Wales, Florida, to a ravaging house fire recently.  As well as the loss of their home and all their belongings, Frank and his wife, Lisa Thomas, have many medical expenses with which they need immediate relief.

Frank Thomas is well known among the Friends of Florida Folk www.foff.org and is highly inspirational to young Florida writers at the various folk festivals around the State including the Will McLean Festival, Gamble Rogers Festival, and the 66thAnnual Florida Folk Festival.  Frank Thomas has also been a special guest and supporter of J.Robert’s Florida Songwriter Showcase. 

 J.Robert’s Florida Songwriter Showcasebenefit will feature songwriters Timothy McGeary, Joe Virga, Marie Nofsinger, Captn Jac, Gator Nate, Raiford Starke, Mark Wesley, J.Robert, and more

During the show, musicians will share personal stories about Florida heritage as well as inspiration for their songwriting and musical talents.

All proceeds from the May 19thFlorida Songwriter Benefit will go directly to Frank and Lisa Thomas.

Margood Harbor Park Theater, with its pavilions and playgrounds wrapped around a charming harbor is a perfect backdrop for this live music, and local flavor event. The Margood Harbor Theater is located at 325 Pear Tree Ave, Goodland. Suggested door donation $10. Doors open at 5:30 PM.
