Mark Sunday, December 4, on your calendar to attend the largest single day car and bike show in Florida! The Florida Hot Rods and Hogs car and bike show will be held at the Lee Civic Center, Fort Myers. The one-day event is sponsored by Seminole Immokalee Casino and will have 105 acres of show cars and bikes. In addition, there will be 65,000 square feet of indoor exhibitor space, two stages, and a swap meet.
General admission for the 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm. event is $12.00. A donation of nonperishable food items, which will be donated to the Harry Chapin Food Bank, reduces the cost to $10.00. A charity auction for Progeria Research Foundation will be held and motorsport legends Chip Foose, “Big Daddy” Don Garlits, Buddy Baker, and Shirley Muldowney will be present. Entertainment will include Rock Out With, Deb & the Dynamics, Bobby Friss, Uptown Express, the Del Prado’s, the Flamingos, and George Galfo’s Mystics.
The day’s event will feature 15 bands and special performances by Xtreme Fury Stunterz and a Biker Rodeo by the West Coast Chapter of Abate will also be featured.
The Harry Chapin Food Bank solicits, collects and stores quality food for distribution to families in need through a network of more than 150 local nonprofit agencies in Lee, Collier, Hendry, Charlotte and Glades counties, who provide food to more than 30,000 people monthly. Over 1 million pounds of food are distributed monthly. For every dollar donated, about $6 in food value goes back to the community. In the past fiscal year, The Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed 12.5 million pounds of food and other grocery products; this was a 31% increase over the previous year.
