“We started Camp Mackle’s Got Talent because the campers would dance and sing every day after lunch. Counselor Abby Martin suggested showcasing the campers’ talents, and that’s how it began,” explained Lola Dial, Recreation Manager. “We were so impressed with what we saw on a daily basis that we wanted to share their talent with their families.”“There were no auditions. Any camper who wanted to participate could. They worked for two weeks solid on their acts and the program. It’s all about them,” explained Parks and Rec Leader, Natasha Gengenbach.
“Next year, the event will be held at our new building at Mackle Park. We will also have professional instructors of tumbling and dance working with our campers. It’s going to be something special to see,” continued Dial.
