Learn about Monroe Station at a talk by Bob DeGross on Friday, December 9, at 5:30PM in the beautifully restored Fellowship Hall at Everglades Community Church. Bob is Chief of Interpretation and Public Affairs at Big Cypress National Preserve and has studied this unique building which is owned by the Preserve. It was the scene of early transportation rest stops and then a social center for Gladesmen. This free illustrated presentation is hosted by the Everglades Society for Historic Preservation (ESHP) and is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Your stories about stopping at Monroe Station will be welcome during the Question & Answer session after the talk. For info, phone Marya Repko at 695-2905.

Have fun doing your holiday shopping! Join us on Saturday, December 10, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM in McLeod Park for an arts & crafts sale, live music, and hotdogs for lunch. Visit the booths displaying local talent while the kiddies play on the swings. If you would like to set up a table, there is no charge. Please phone Marya at 695-2905.
