This basic and important class meets for 4 consecutive weeks, Monday & Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 9 PM, starting on March 2nd, 2020, and is taught by certified US Coast Guard Instructors.
Topics include: Vital Marine Equipment, Terminology, Rules of the Nautical Road, Boat Handling, Lines & Knots, Boating Safety, Florida Law, Weather, Charting & Navigation and VHF Marine Radio.
Included in the course is this 400+ page Boating Textbook.
Upon completion, students will receive this State of Florida Boater I.D. Card and a Coast Guard Auxiliary Certificate of Completion.
The total cost is only $60, but space is limited. Courses are held at the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Station located in Caxambas Park at 905 Collier Court, Marco Island, and are open to anyone interested in proper and safe boating.
