Attorney Eleanor W. “Ellie” Taft of the law firm Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A. was awarded the 2013 Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) President’s Award for Service at a recent ceremony. Ms. Taft, a two-decade-veteran of real estate and commercial law, is committed to the building and construction industry, volunteering her time as a Director for the CBIA.
CBIA is a not-for-profit professional association of dedicated industry professionals who are inspired to make a difference in the community through advocacy, education, networking and philanthropy. This President’s Award is presented by the President of CBIA to an individual who, throughout the year, has made a substantial contribution in reaching the goals of the Association.
Taft is very involved in state and local community organizations. She is an active member of the Collier County Bar Association, a member of the board of directors for the Collier County Women’s Bar Association, and a member of the Collier County Design Services Advisory Committee. Her statewide service includes active participation in several Florida Bar Real Property Probate and Trust Law committees. Currently, she is a member of the board of directors for The Multiple Sclerosis Center of Southwest Florida. In addition, she is a former mentor for Take Stock In Children, and also a past member of the Collier County Foreclosure Task force.
