Eagle Chicks on Marco Island

Chicks have been observed in the bald eagle nest on Tigertail Court in Marco Island. Recently, the eagle parents were spotted bringing breakfast to their hungry eaglets.

The first bald eagle chick of this nest was born on February 6, 2019. The chicks will be nearly fully grown by nine weeks old. First flights usually occur between nine and ten weeks of age. From 17-23 weeks of age, chicks will typically leave the nest for good.

Each morning on Tigertail Court, professional photographers line up hoping to capture the perfect shot of these adorable chicks in their nest.
