Overcast skies and pleasant temperatures welcomed visitors to Discover Tigertail, a program for attendees of all ages to become acquainted with Tigertail Beach.
Organizers of the event, held Saturday, February 25, benefitted from the weather conditions that kept everyone comfortable as they took part in the various programs that awaited. The weather was also conducive to bird watching—a favorite pastime at the park, located at the north end of Marco’s 3.5-mile crescent beach.
Kids enjoyed burning off

The kids loved collecting wristbands from Jade Purcell.
Specialists from the Collier County Sea Turtle program, Rookery Bay Reserve, the Marco Shell Club, Conservancy of Southwest Florida and Tommie Barfield Elementary School (TBE) PTO worked the tables and kept things lively during the family-oriented event.
