It is a match made in financial heaven.
Darcie Guerin, resident branch manager and associate vice president of Investment Insights of Raymond James, has partnered with Michael Sbertoli, associate vice president of investments.
“We are partnering together because of the substantial increase in the number of families being served in the Marco office,” explained Guerin. “Mike and I, as CFP practitioners believe in the same core investment principles and business practices. With Mike, I will be able to maintain the highest level of service to our ever growing client base.”
Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Sbertoli moved to Marco in 1981 after serving as a US Army Ranger. As part of SouthWest Florida complex of Raymond James, he opened the Marco branch office in 1999, and in 2006, was on assignment in Fort Myers as manager. He now has come back home and joined with Guerin’s “Investments Insights.”
Sbertoil brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, 25 in management with both Raymond James and Prudential and as principle in the Island’s first discount stock brokerage firm with his father. He is active with San Marco Parish and the Knights of Columbus, and is also a member of Marco Island CERT team, US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Guerin said that while some advisors refer to themselves as “financial planners,” only those who have fulfilled the rigorous certification and renewal requirements of the CFP Board can display the CFP® certification marks, which represent a high level of competency, ethics and professionalism.
Guerin writes the column “Ask The CFP®” for Coastal Breeze News. She also serves on the board of The Marco Island Fire-Rescue Foundation, The Marco Island Historical Society Finance Committee and is an advisor to the Lorenzo Walker Technical Institute’s Business Program.
