CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:

 

 

Airport-Pulling Road between North Road and Prospect Avenue – On Airport-Pulling Road between North Road and Prospect Avenue expect intermittent lane closures northbound through Friday, Aug. 26 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue sidewalk repairs. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow signs, advance warning signs, a rolling truck with signage and barricades to assist travelers in the area.  

Collier Boulevard Improvements Project – On Collier Boulevard between Green Boulevard and Golden Gate Boulevard expect intermittent lane closures both southbound and northbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, for the duration of the Collier Boulevard Improvements Project which is scheduled to be completed in early winter of 2017. Motorists are advised to stay alert and drive with care.  The speed limit has been reduced to 35 mph on Collier Boulevard from Green Boulevard to Golden Gate Boulevard. Law enforcement officers and flagmen will be utilized, as needed, along with electronic message signs, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

 Copeland Avenue (CR 29) between Demere Lane and Oyster Bar Lane – On Copeland Avenue (CR 29) between Demere Lane and Oyster Bar Lane expect traffic to be reduced from two lanes to ONE LANE ONLY through spring 2018 while construction progresses on the Chokoloskee Bridge Replacement Project. A temporary traffic signal has been installed and will be operational 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The contractor is currently working to demolish the northbound lane of the existing bridge in order to construct the northbound side of the new bridge. Electronic message signs, advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area. Drivers are reminded to stay alert and expect delays.

Cypress Way East between Piper Boulevard and Eastwood Drive – On Cypress Way East between Piper Boulevard and Eastwood Drive expect intermittent lane closures for approximately six months between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue construction of new sidewalk as part of the Cypress Way East Sidewalk Improvement Project.  Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with advance warning signs to assist travelers in this area.

Entrance Street between U.S. 41 East and Floridan Avenue – On Entrance Street between U.S. 41 East and Floridan Avenue expect traffic to be reduced to one lane only intermittently for approximately two months between   7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue installation of water and sewer utilities as part of the Naples Manor Water Main and Force Main Replacement Project. Advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area.

Floridan Avenue between Entrance Street and Sholtz Street – On Floridan Avenue between Entrance Street and Sholtz Street expect traffic to be reduced to one lane only intermittently for approximately two monthsbetween        7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue installation of water and sewer utilities as part of the Naples Manor Water Main and Force Main Replacement Project. Advance warning signs and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area.  

Golden Gate Boulevard between 12th Street and 18th Street – Residents with property on the south side of Golden Gate Boulevard between 12th Street and 18th Street should expect intermittent access changes beginning onMonday, Aug 29 and continuing for approximately two months, 24 hours per day, while crews construct the permanent concrete curb median which will separate westbound and eastbound traffic along the roadway. Drivers should use caution and stay vigilant to the construction signage and changes as the work progresses.  Warning signage and barricades will be used to assist drivers in this area.

Golden Gate Parkway between Estuary Boulevard and Goodlette-Frank Road – On Golden Gate Parkway between Estuary Boulevard and Goodlette-Frank Road expect intermittent lane closures westbound through Friday, Aug. 26 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue sidewalk repair. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with lighted arrow signs, advance warning signs, a rolling truck with signage and barricades to assist travelers in the area.

Lee Street between New Market Road and Madison Avenue – Lee Street between New Market Road and Madison Avenue WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL BUT LOCAL TRAFFIC through Friday, Aug 27 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue installation of stormwater drainage pipes. Advanced warning signs and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area.

Naples Boulevard between Airport-Pulling Road and Pine Ridge Road –On Naples Boulevard between AirportPulling Road and Pine Ridge Roadexpect intermittent lane closures in short segments, in both directions, for approximately one week OVERNIGHT between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sundays through Fridays, weather permitting, as crews continue work to mill and resurface the roadway. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message signs, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Outer Drive between Highland Drive and Thomasson Lane – Outer Drive between Highland Drive and Thomasson Lane will be CLOSED TO ALL BUT LOCAL TRAFFIC beginning on Monday, Aug. 29 and continuing for approximately three months from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, weather permitting, as crews construct a new sidewalk and perform utility work. Detour signs will be posted.  Electronic message signs, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Pine Ridge Road between U.S. 41 and Osceola Trail – On Pine Ridge Road between U.S. 41 and Osceola Trail expect both eastbound and westbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes in each direction to two lanes in each direction beginning on Sunday, Aug 28 and continuing for approximately three weeks OVERNIGHT between       8 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting, as crews mill and resurface the roadway. Flagmen will be used, as needed, along with electronic message signs, advance warning signs and barricades to assist travelers in this area.

Seagate Drive between U.S. 41 and Sand Dollar Lane – On Seagate Drive between U.S. 41 and Sand Dollar Lane expect both eastbound and westbound traffic to be reduced from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction, in short segments, beginning on Friday, Aug. 26 and continuing through Monday, Aug. 29 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews perform tree pruning. Advanced warning signs, lighted arrow signs, a rolling truck with signage and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

Sholtz Street between Floridan Avenue and Tucker Avenue – On Sholtz Street between Floridan Avenue and Tucker Avenue expect traffic to be reduced to one lane only intermittently for approximately two monthsbetween     7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews continue installation of water and sewer utilities as part of the Naples Manor Water Main and Force Main Replacement Project. Advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist travelers in this area.

U.S. 41 between Seagate Drive and Pelican Bay Boulevard – On U.S. 41 between Seagate Drive and Pelican Bay Boulevard expect intermittent lane closures both northbound and southbound beginning on Friday, Aug. 26 and continuing through Monday, Aug. 29 between 9 a.m. and  3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews perform tree pruning. Advanced warning signs, lighted arrow boards, and barricades are being used to assist travelers in this area.
