A total of 52 teams participated in the 2015 RedSnook Catch and Release Charity Tournament that took place Oct. 23-25, generating $82,000 to benefit the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s juvenile game fish studies, water quality research and estuary protection.
The Beacon Group at Morgan Stanley and RGM Capital were the presenting sponsors of the 2015 RedSnook Catch and Release Charity Tournament. Wayne A. Meland of The Beacon Group at Morgan Stanley and Gary Parsons were co-chairs for the event, and fly-fisherman, Oliver White, served as the honorary chairman.
“There are clearly some issues going on in the Everglades with water quality. As anglers and conservationists, we have the opportunity to have a positive impact and help restore the waters back to the way it should be,” White said. “Seeing more of the Everglades and experiencing it for myself made me even more passionate about the need to protect this special area. I’m proud to help the Conservancy of Southwest Florida with these efforts.”
