In addition to activities back by popular demand, the festival will also offer many new activities, including Glen Beitman of “Super Science and Amazing Art,” an interactive edu-tainment show entitledEverglades Interactive, hands-on activities with Snapology Legos Presents “Nature’s Super Transformers,” live music from the Bug Tussle Ramblers, and a bounce house.
A special treat is meeting the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s newest member, its loggerhead sea turtle. The Conservancy has welcomed a new juvenile loggerhead to its facilities, and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida has asked visitors to help name the new loggerhead by submitting their ideas in person at the Conservancy Nature Center. A committee of staff, interns and volunteers have reviewed the submissions and selected a name, which will be announced during the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s Earth Day Festival at 11:30 a.m.
