When she learned that Chris was going to be able to return from Afghanistan for two weeks of R & R, she asked us for help to turn their dream into a reality. Marilyn Honahan of Coastal Breeze News put the wheels into motion and began to contact various businesses and individuals for assistance in helping to make their dream come true.
Paula’s sister is a part time Marco Island resident. She offered the following comments:
I am writing on behalf of our entire family to express gratitude for all that you, the paper, the businesses and residents of Marco Island did for my sister and her family. I am so thankful to my fellow residents and it makes me so proud to know that I am part of a community that is so giving and thoughtful… especially to people they don’t even know. Can you please publish our gratitude in your next issue to everyone who helped make this an unforgettable day for my sister and her family? We don’t know how we can ever thank all of you!
