The Collier County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously not to impose an emergency order that would have included a mandatory “Stay at Home” directive for residents, and the closing of all non-essential businesses due to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The decision took place at a Special Emergency Meeting of the Collier County Board of County Commissioners on Friday, March 27, 2020.
The Board agreed to continue to follow the Governor’s Executive Order and the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control.
Collier County Government is closely monitoring all developments related to COVID-19 and will continue to provide additional updates as they occur. Information is available at colliercountyfl.gov, facebook.com/CollierGov and Twitter.com/CollierPIO.
