Correction: The City of Marco Island Boil Water Notice is for residents of the Provence of Marco (1865 San Marco Road) only. For more information visit www.cityofmarcoisland.com
The notice has been issued as a result of a loss of pressure in the distribution systems. Due to this loss of pressure, bacteriological quality of the water is questionable. Accordingly, the city is recommending that all water used for consumption and cooking purposes be boiled until further notice.
Marco Island Utilities will be flushing the affected lines and will collect two consecutive days of bacteriological samples as soon as the flushing and disinfection is complete. This is a precautionary measure to ensure that the water meets all safe drinking standards.
This notice will remain in effect until satisfactory bacteriological samples are received. At this time your door will be tagged with a rescinding note.
