The Marco Island Charter Middle School (MICMS) held another of their successful and fun community events, an exciting Casino Night at the Marco Island Historical Society’s Rose Hall.
Approximately 150 parents, residents and supporters of MICMS showed up to try their luck at roulette, craps and blackjack. The event has grown in popularity each year and the evening’s event was no an exception. “It is really great to get out and see so many wonderful friends,” said Michelle Wheeler, a local teacher.
Al Benarroch, owner of Affordable Landscaping and his wife Yvette, regulars at many of the events supporting charities across the island, were also quick to comment. “This is great for the community. Both our kids have gone or are going to the Charter Middle School and we are great supporters,” said Yvette.
Attendees would also get to enjoy some light refreshments and be served by celebrity bartender Allyson Richards, the Secretary of the MICMS Board of Directors. “I just love it when a plan comes together,” said Richards.
Greg Pasquale, who owns Marco Flooring and his wife Jenn also complimented those that helped to put on the event. “This is one way we get to help support the school. They do so much for the kids and this community,” said Pasquale.
Through the hard work of the volunteers and the generosity of the community, MICMS was able to raise approximately $9,000 for school operations.
