Once again the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor Leadership Marco 2013. We are beginning our 12th Leadership Marco class. Many of our graduates are very active members of our community in business, government and charitable occupations.
The Mission Statement for Leadership Marco develops a network of informed citizens prepared to assume leadership roles in our community.
Leadership Marco provides leadership minded individuals with the opportunity to:
• Experience the community from public, business and individual perspectives
• Develop interest in the future of Marco Island
• Create an environment to inspire community leadership
The Leadership Marco program will provide a forum to identify, enlighten and engage current and future leaders to improve the quality of life in the Marco Island Community.
The benefits of Leadership Marco are to provide insight into public decision making with practical and in depth discussion on public issues relative to the area. It also

In May the Leadership Marco Alumni gave $15,000 in scholarships to high school seniors. The monies were raised by three events: the Island Paddle Challenge, Wet Paint Live and a new event, the Souper Bowl.
Upcoming Chamber “After Five Networking Events” are as follows: August After Five will be dockside aboard the beautiful Marco Island Princess on the 21st. September’s After Five will be at Marco Island Florist on the 1st. Each of these events is 5:30 – 7PM and includes hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Everyone is welcome! Admission is free for President Club members, $5 each for chamber members, and $10 each for non-members.
