Members of the Education Committee considered the academic achievements of all the applications submitted and then interviewed the finalists in order to make their final selection. The students, and their parents, were honored at a Chamber event held at CJ’s on the Bay, which provided a Texas style barbecue buffet for guests.
Executive Director of the Chamber, Sandi Reidemann, explained to the scholarship recipients how many people and numerous businesses came together to provide funding for the scholarship awards. The Education Committee and Leadership Marco held a successful ‘Souper Bowl Marco’ event financing the monetary awards.

Ross Castillo is attending the University of Florida majoring in Computer Science Engineering
Zachary Halaschak is attending the University of Richmond for International Relations
Alessea Lane will attend the University of Florida majoring in Chemical Engineering
Jennifer Schoen will go to the University of Florida, for pre-law, journalism and Business
Karissa Zeigelmann will attend University of South Florida majoring in Education and Psychology
