The Marco Island Center for the Arts will hold its 2015 Member Outdoor Art Show on Saturday, Jan. 17, 10 AM-4 PM, on the grounds of the Center at 1010 Winterberry Drive.
The outdoor show will be imbued with a sense of “community,” as all participating artists are members of the Center, and many also have taught classes or provided individual instruction to local residents and visitors. Many of the artists will be creating new works at the show, and if a visitor sees something he or she likes, virtually everything on display will be for sale.
All of the artwork at the show will be original in design and created personally by the artist. Each artist will provide a display of his or her art and will be available to answer questions concerning his or her work at the exhibition.
Although most of the artists have participated in other shows or displayed their work at the Center, much new art will be on display. For those who follow a local artist, that means the opportunity to see the latest work from that artist and possibly become its owner.
Center Executive Director Hyla Crane is excited. “This outdoor show will be exceptional,” she says. “It features the vision and talent of some of our best local artists.”
The show is a “can’t miss” for art lovers, and will be a great opportunity to take a break from the usual vacation activities as even children will appreciate the art on display. The show will have something to please everyone’s palette.
