The Marco Island Center for the Arts announced today that it is hosting “The Art of Fashion” on October 26, 2015. The Art of Fashion is a fashion show and special art exhibition with Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida. The fashion show is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM and, in the words of Executive Director Hyla Crane, “This will be one special event!”
The show will feature artwork and fashion from participants in the Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida Pathways Program for adults with disabilities. The evening will showcase models that designed their runway ensembles completely from Goodwill merchandise! Proceeds from the event will benefit Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida and the Center for the Arts.
Tickets are only $40 perperson. In addition to the fashion show, attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and support of these two worthy organizations.
Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is a not-for-profit entity committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages. It provides job training and placement, affordable housing, transportation assistance, youth programs and other services in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties. This show will give its artists an opportunity to share their work, in addition to creating a fun evening for those attending.
